BASHLEY FC STATEMENT

Chairman Mike Cranidge as with immediate effect following a meeting yesterday
evening (8th May) handed the roll of interim chairperson to Angela Speechley-
Price.
Mr Cranidge approached a consortium which includes Mrs Speechley-Price on
the 29th of April and advised them that if they were unable to step forward that
Bashley FC would no longer be able to function as a football club.
Mrs Speechley-Price commented, "After speaking with my support team and
with the assurances in place that we would inherit a debt free club at the AGM
we have decided that we believe we can make Bashley FC work, but the
structure of the club will need to change, we will now begin the process of
rebuilding the club."
Following a tough season on and off the pitch for the New Forest club, there is a
much brighter light shining for everyone connected with the club towards a solid
future. Mrs Speechley-Price added, "Mr Cranidge has, along with other Bashley
supporters, done a fantastic job keeping Bashley afloat and should be applauded
for this. I will be using the Bashley FC message board to supply information and
updates on a regular basis as we move forward as a club. We hope this will be
the beginning of a new era for Bashley FC and hope we can depend on the
support of the fans for the coming season."
